About This Cause
The Southern Oregon Humane Society is a private nonprofit organization committed to rescuing, healing and placing dogs and cats that have run out of time and are facing euthanasia at overcrowded animal shelters as part of our Saving Train program. SoHumane is a safe haven for Southern Oregon residents to surrender their cherished pets when they are no longer able to provide care. All of our dogs and cats are spayed or neutered before placement in a home. SoHumane provides humane education opportunities for our Southern Oregon community. We participate in fixing feral cats as part of our Community Cat Project. In 2023 over 1200 displaced pets found new homes through adoption. Volunteers donated over 28,000 service hours. The Southern Oregon Humane Society has been saving lives since 1928.
