Little Feet Preschool is a parent co-operative, non-profit preschool located in Hood River, Oregon, in the Columbia River Gorge.
About This Cause
Little Feet Cooperative Preschool in Hood River, Oregon, was founded in 1993 to engage children and parents in early childhood education. Being a co-op allows Little Feet Preschool to provide a lower-than-average tuition, without sacrificing a child’s educational experience. Little Feet Cooperative Preschool: • Believes in play based learning. • Is a caring community of parents. Hosts school gatherings, potlucks, group play dates, and opportunities for parent education • Has a 1:5.3 adult to child ratio • Requires parental involvement through parent teaching, organizing and operating the school, holding office, and fundraising • Has lower than average tuition. Being a co-op allows us to provide lower than average tuition, without sacrificing a child’s education experience. Little Feet currently has a financial aid program in place for families who might have difficulty affording preschool tuition. Little Feet seeks grants as a means to continue offering financial aid and also to provide enrichment opportunities such as music for children. Little Feet Cooperative Preschool is a non-profit entity, formed by local families in 1993, that operates under the umbrella of Parent Child Preschools of Oregon (PCPO). No ownership required. No church affiliation. Little Feet does not discriminate on the basis of gender, race, color, national and ethnic origin.
