About This Cause
Wildlife Images Rehabilitation and Education Center was founded as a non-profit corporation in 1981 by renowned wildlife rehabilitator J. David Siddon. The facility was created in order to provide for the care and treatment of sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife. Wildlife Images has since expanded to provide educational programs on wildlife, conservation, and the environment to schools, organizations, and the general public. The Center and its programs and activities are a direct outgrowth and continuation of the late Founder J. David Siddon’s personal involvement with wildlife rehabilitation and education for more than 40 years. The center currently operates under the direction of David Siddon Jr., who continues on with his father’s mission. With over 100 animal ambassadors, and over 1,200 sick, injured, and orphaned animals brought to our center each year — every dollar counts. We rely solely on people like yourself to support the work we do. We receive no State or Federal funding and depend entirely on private funds to carry out our Mission. We strive to give animals the best possible care, whether they are clinic patients or permanent residents. That commitment has been recognized, as we are accredited by the Zoological Association of America. We also offer a variety of educational opportunities to help the public to better understand wildlife and its importance to the future of the planet. We do this through camps, workshops, tours, field trips and outreaches, which reach thousands of people in Southern Oregon and Northern California. The organization’s clinic, animal facility, and education center are located on 24 acres of land adjacent to the wild and scenic section of Oregon’s famous Rogue River. Animals treated at Wildlife Images have included everything from baby squirrels and badgers to American bald eagles.
