A cultural arts center dedicated to the music and people of Zimbabwe.
About This Cause
For over twenty years Kutsinhira Cultural Arts Center has been sharing African music while advancing community development projects in Zimbabwe. Responding to the rich musical tradition of the people of Zimbabwe, Kutsinhira has created a local center dedicated to teaching and performing Zimbabwean music. In addition to classes and performances, Kutsinhira has been instrumental in sponsoring music residencies for Zimbabwean master musicians, giving local and other communities unique insights into the traditional music of southern Africa. The close musical and personal connection between our community and the Zimbabwean people has led to many fund raising efforts to support our organization’s outreach and education efforts both here and in Zimbabwe.
