Serving the most basic needs of Oregon public school students so that they can thrive at school.
About This Cause
Founded in 1995, the OEA Foundation gives small, $100 grants to Oregon public school students with immediate and basic needs. Currently those are health needs, including payment of doctor bills, shoes, clothing, eyecare, hygiene products, and other basic items. The majority of the Foundation's donors are Oregon public school teachers, who also serve as the grant facilitators at the community level. The Oregon Education Association provides the administrative support so that every dollar donated can be reinvested into our grantees.
