Mission Statement
Jackson Street Youth Services is here to promote safety, stability, and well-being for youth. We work to prevent homelessness by showing a path to long-term success through building positive relationships and skills for self-sufficiency.
About This Cause
Jackson Street operates two Overnight Shelters - in Albany and Corvallis, Oregon. We're there during crises or are a first step off the street. Once a youth checks in they are supervised by paid, trained staff. We provide positive activities, education assistance and even stay connected with them after they leave. This 24/7 housing supports runaway, homeless, and at-risk youth ages 10-17. Programs throughout the community aim to prevent homelessness by engaging youth, building trust, and linking them to community services. Youth come to our Drop-In Centers for hygiene supplies, first aid, food, clothing, and laundry. We also provide these things in rural areas, on the streets, and in schools.
