Mission Statement
The mission of Friends of West Sylvan is to support the educational and daily school experience for West Sylvan Middle School scholars and staff while fostering community connections through fun student activities, fundraising and volunteer opportunities.
About This Cause
Friends of West Sylvan works to enhance the educational and daily school experience for all West Sylvan Middle School students and staff. To achieve this goal, our parent-directed organization raises money in order to provide financial support as a supplement to Portland Public School District funding. The donations we receive are used to contribute school supplies and resources, provide educational and social experiences, support students in need, and more.
