Mission Statement
Full Stride Therapeutic Riding Center engages the power of horses to enable exceptional children and young adults to build confident, active, healthy, and fulfilling lives through therapeutic riding and equine-assisted activities.
About This Cause
We accomplish our mission and achieve our vision by: Providing a fun, safe, and healing environment for high functioning children and young adults with special needs due to illness, trauma, social, emotional, or mild intellectual disabilities. Ensuring a humane partnership with our horses. Promoting maximum independence in our participants by teaching, demonstrating and supporting. Modeling, encouraging, and supporting mutual respect and positive interactions through both language and behavior among participants with their equine partner through therapeutic horseback riding Promoting continued progress and sustained gains for each participant by inviting and encouraging family engagement and by keeping families well informed. Maintaining the highest standards of safety and health for our participants, horses, staff and volunteers. Maintaining fiscal responsibility by controlling expenses and increasing donor partnerships.
