Mission Statement
Haven Animal Rescue Nebraska is where animals come first! We are a foster based all-volunteer rescue that is devoted to rescuing and re-homing abandoned, suffering, and homeless dogs and cats of all breeds. Haven Animal Rescue Nebraska provides loving homes, medical care, socialization, and rehabilitation until each animal’s forever home is found. We are dedicated to not just finding any adoptive home but the best fitting home for every individual animal and adoptive family.
About This Cause
We pull highly adoptable, friendly dogs and cats from high kill shelters in Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri, Arkansas, and Kansas. We also take in dogs from puppy mills and breeders when they are downsizing or closing their doors. When we have room we take in owner surrenders and we especially always try to help with dogs and cats who have ill parents, tragedies going on, death, hard times, etc. We are comprised entirely of devoted volunteers and run off of donations. We do not receive money from the city or large grants or monthly help. We are a state licensed, incorporated, 501c3 nonprofit. All of our animals are in foster homes until adoptions. We provide all vet care including spay/neuter, vaccines, microchips, heartworm tests, and any other medical that arises such as dentals, teeth pulling, and/or major medical issues. We provide our foster homes with all food and supplies for the dogs and cats until adoption. We have a thorough adoption process to make sure our animals go to loving forever homes! We help provide dog and cat food to lower income folks in the metro who reach out for help. We pitch in for spay and neuters for lower income folks in the metro when needed as well. Afterall, controlling the animal population is the first step towards an end in sight to the overpopulation crisis and the daily killing of wonderful dogs and cats…simply due to a lack of space nationwide. We truly have an amazing team of volunteers, and we run on integrity and complete transparency.
