Mission Statement
The R-CPD Treatment Access Fund removes barriers to diagnosis and treatment of retrograde cricopharyngeus dysfunction (R-CPD) because everyone deserves access to care, regardless of financial situation, location, or background.
About This Cause
R-CPD is a rare, typically painful, and often embarrassing condition with serious impacts to a patient's quality of life. A safe, effective treatment for R-CPD exists. Unfortunately, it's out of reach for many patients due to lack of insurance coverage, distance from a doctor familiar with the syndrome, or other practical considerations making travel or treatment difficult. We started the R-CPD Treatment Access Fund to shrink those financial, geographical, and practical barriers so that all who suffer have a shot at treatment.
