Mission Statement
DFWweCARE exists to help provide economically disadvantaged elementary school children in the DFW area with school supplies, facilitate cultural exchanges, and promote community unity.
About This Cause
Key Elements of DFWweCARE: • Annual School Supply Drive: DFWweCARE conducts an annual School Supply Drive to provide supplies to economically disadvantaged (>90% free lunch rate) elementary school children in the local area and bring the community together. • Donations: Each year, DFWweCARE plans a major fundraiser event, collecting funds needed to purchase school supplies and donating them to supported schools. • Youth Volunteer Program: DFWweCARE builds partnerships with schools we support all year round and bridges with member organizations' youth groups for tutoring programs and other outreach activities. • Membership: DFWweCARE welcomes any non-profit organizations (>10 members) to join as a member (co-host), promoting fundraising and volunteering in the annual school supply drive event.
