Mission Statement
Our mission at TOTALLY FLOCKED AVIAN RESCUE, is to provide a safe haven for unwanted, abused, neglected, or even well-loved parrots in need. Through rehabilitation, education, and offering sanctuary to those with special needs, we strive to improve the lives of these birds and ensure that "no bird left behind". With over 12 years of experience rescuing as a private rescue, we are dedicated to giving parrots a second chance at a happy and healthy life.
About This Cause
Totally Flocked is a non-profit 501c3 parrot rescue located in the Northwest Florida area. With a strong background in animal cruelty investigations and a passion for educating the public about the proper care of parrots, our organization is dedicated to providing a safe and loving environment for these magnificent birds in need. At Totally Flocked, we believe that every parrot deserves a chance at a happy and healthy life. We specialize in taking in parrots who have been unwanted, abused, neglected, or simply no longer able to be cared for by their current owners. We do not charge a fee for surrendering a parrot to our rescue, as our primary goal is to ensure that these birds are placed in a secure and loving environment where their needs are met. One of the key aspects of our rescue mission is to improve the overall well-being of the parrots in our care. This includes focusing on providing a healthy diet, proper-sized caging, a stimulating environment, enrichment activities, and opportunities for socialization. We work closely with experienced avian veterinarians to ensure that each bird receives the appropriate medical care and attention they require. In addition to providing a sanctuary for parrots in need, Totally Flocked is committed to educating the public about the proper care and handling of these birds. We offer workshops, seminars, and informational resources to help parrot owners better understand the unique needs and behaviors of these intelligent creatures. By raising awareness and promoting responsible ownership, we hope to reduce the number of parrots in need of rescue in the future.
