About This Cause
Based in Chico, CA, BHS is the oldest animal welfare organization in the community, established in 1911. BHS is a small non-profit looking to expand the scope of outreach and support to the larger Northern California area. BHS will assist other animal welfare organizations to combat overpopulation and animal cruelty and be a resource for community education for the humane treatment of animals. BHS operates in conjunction with the City of Chico Animal Services to find loving homes for surrendered, lost, and mistreated animals.
