Axis is a community health center that has provided healthcare to the neediest families of the Tri-Valley for over forty years. Our community is growing, and so is the need for healthcare. We are raising funds to complete a new community health center - with your help, we'll succeed!
About This Cause

My doctor at Axis saved my life." - Axis Patient, Pleasanton Since 1972, Axis has provided medical, mental health, and nutrition services to the neediest families of the Tri-Valley. Today, we are a nationally-recognized leader in quality, affordable healthcare. We are committed to our vision of a Tri-Valley where everyone has access to the care they need. Our patients are the "working poor" - 95% have a family income under 200% of the Federal Poverty Line (less than $46,100 a year for a family of four). Most are enrolled in Medi-Cal, a public health insurance program for very low income people. Axis is the sole provider of primary and preventive medical care for these patients. Patients depend on us so they can work, attend school, and live a healthy life. The Tri-Valley is growing rapidly, as is the need for care. We've hired more staff and expanded our hours, but our facilities have stayed the same. Today, Axis's two medical clinics and two behavioral health sites are operating at full capacity with 14,000 patients - and must serve 20,000 in 2016. We simply cannot meet this need for care without more exam rooms. To meet this need, we are building a beautiful new 24,000 sq. ft. health center, located at 5925 W. Las Positas Blvd. in Pleasanton, that will open in 2016. The new clinic will double our current capacity, and enable Axis to provide 42,000 behavioral health visits and 60,000 medical visits each year. All of Axis's current sites will remain open. The new clinic features: - 27 Medical Exam Rooms - 7 Counseling Rooms - On-Site Patient Pharmacy - On-Site Blood Draw Station - Patient Education Classroom Construction is under way! Axis must raise an additional $1.7 million - and we are $300,000 from our goal. Every donation, no matter the amount, helps. Axis is a non-profit organization; your gift is fully tax-deductible.
