Mission Statement
Redwood Day School is an independent, diverse K-8 coed school that combines challenging academics, differentiated instruction, and a keen awareness of children's social and emotional development. Our intimate learning community of 350 students sits in the heart of Oakland, California, and encourages students to discover and nurture their strengths as individual learners who thrive academically, contribute to society, and lead healthy, meaningful lives.
About This Cause
Redwood Day School is a non profit organization that relies on the generosity of its community to support our mission. For almost 50 years, faculty, staff, families, alumni, grandparents and friends have invested in RDS in order to ensure that we remain a school that reflects and values diversity, keeps tuition rates competitive, and offers exceptional educational experiences for every student.
