Mission Statement
St. Mary's Dining Room responds to poverty in San Joaquin County by feeding the hungry, caring for health issues and restoring human dignity to hundreds of individuals each day.
About This Cause
Since 1955, St. Mary’s Dining Room has served the homeless and working poor of San Joaquin County. We are grateful for the support of our community. Our programs include: Kitchen and Dining Room: Open 7 days a week, 365 days a year serving a hot, nutritious breakfast, lunch and dinner. Men’s Services: Open weekdays, enabling our clients to shower and receive clean clothes. Women’s and Children’s Services: Open weekdays, allowing clients to shower and select clothes in the donation center for clothes for themselves and children. Diapers and formula, as available, are also distributed to parents. Dental Clinic: All dentists and dental hygienists are volunteers serving the uninsured. Our clinic is the only one of its kind in San Joaquin County offering free services for both adults and children. Social Services: The social services department staff and volunteers provide case management, housing navigation, and referrals to other programs.
