Mission Statement
Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care is a rescue, rehab, and release organization that cares for orphaned and injured wild birds and animals in and around the Lake Tahoe basin.
About This Cause
Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care (LTWC) is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to Rescue, Rehabilitate and Release orphaned and injured wild birds and animals in and around the Lake Tahoe basin. LTWC is the only wildlife rehab facility in Northern California (north of the Grapevine, all the way to the Oregon border) with authorization from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife to raise and rehabilitate first-year bear cubs. LTWC relies on private donations and memberships to sustain its financial support.
