Mission Statement
The mission of Against Abuse, Inc. is to provide services, support and education to all who experience the effects of family dysfunction and/or violence, past and present.
About This Cause
Against Abuse, Inc. provides shelter services to singles and families who are fleeing domestic or sexual violence including healing and self-sufficiency assistance. Victims who do not need shelter are assisted via mobile and community-based services. All victims are offered trauma-informed case management, lay legal advocacy and healing services. AAI offers an Animal Safe Home program where pets of victims may be temporarily adopted while the victim is in shelter. Transitional housing services are available for victims who require a longer period of time to transition into self-sufficiency. AAI operates a thrift store where victims can shop for free essential items. AAI also provides supervised visitation for families with children in DCS custody who are desiring reunification.
