Mission Statement
Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern Nevada keeps families close when it matters most: during their child’s illness, accident, or premature birth. Our donors and volunteers provide the gift of togetherness, offering a home-away-from-home, right next door to Renown Children's Hospital, for families who need to be together during challenging times.
About This Cause
Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern Nevada creates and supports programs that directly improve the health, education and well-being of children and families. In addition to providing family accommodations at the House, the agency also operates the Renown Family Room adjacent to the Pediatrics and NICU units at the hospital so that families can take a break, grab a bite to eat, make a call or catch a quick nap while their hospitalized child is just down the hall. RMHC's Travel for Treatment Program helps support travel for children being transferred to or from the area for medical treatment. The RHMC CARE Mobile provides outreach and free well child check-ups, vision and dental, as well as immunizations, WIC and SNAP benefits sign-up in low-income communities throughout the County.
