About This Cause

As one of 54 Affiliate Networks of the North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE; www.naaee.org and www.naaee.org/our-partners/affiliates), the Arizona Association for Environmental Education (AAEE) supports formal, informal, and non-formal educators providing programming and content to a wide variety of people of all ages. We host a variety of networking and professional learning opportunities for environmental educators in Arizona, as well as collaborate with other NAAEE Affiliates to host events at the annual NAAEE conference. AAEE has an EE Certification Program designed to help educators hone their program planning and curriculum design skills. We focus on equity and inclusion work, providing trainings to encourage environmental educators to create content relevant and inclusive of all ways of knowing about the environment, so that we can create civically engaged communities who rally in support of the natural world.
