Our mission is to provide inclusive and equitable access to on-the-water science-based educational programs that foster the connection to watersheds, ocean environments & nautical heritage.
About This Cause
Using two traditional Tall Ships as the platform, Call of the Sea provides on-the-water personal growth, environmental and nautical heritage experience inspiring diverse students to be better stewards of the sea and earth. In the past 10 years, Call of the Sea has served over 40,000 students, now averaging about 5,000 per year aboard our 132' Brigantine Matthew Turner & our 82' Schooner SEAWARD. The programs we offer align with STEAM and Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) to fit within school curriculum making our programs a perfect fit for students to learn through experience and interactive methods.
