Mission Statement

The mission of the Hydrocephalus Association is to promote a cure for hydrocephalus and improve the lives of those impacted by the condition. The Hydrocephalus Association accomplishes this by collaborating with patients, caregivers, researchers and industry, raising awareness, and funding innovative, high-impact research to prevent, treat and ultimately cure hydrocephalus.

About This Cause

Founded in 1983 to aid families living with the challenges of hydrocephalus, the Hydrocephalus Association (HA) has developed into the nation's most respected organization devoted to providing education and support services to individuals with hydrocephalus and their families. Since 2009, HA has invested nearly $9 million to research, becoming the largest non-governmental, non-profit to fund hydrocephalus. The WALK to End Hydrocephalus is the Hydrocephalus Association’s largest annual fundraising event, raising nearly $2.1 million last year thanks to more than 15,000 participants in 45+ locations across the United States. When you take part in ending hydrocephalus, you join a family of 1+ million Americans who are fighting for a cure every day.
