What does the Vernon PTA do? We advocate for… KIDS: Music Education Art Enhancements Star Base Science for 5th graders Track Team Support Advocate for Vernon Kids with the School District and City and State Governments TEACHERS & STAFF: Field Trip Funds – $300 per teacher Teacher Grants – $100 per teacher IB Support Teacher Appreciation Week Classroom Support Artists in Residence Stipend for the Garden Coordinator FAMILIES: PTA Meetings – Second Wednesday of each month from 5:45 to 7:30pm Child Care at Monthly PTA Meetings PTA Website, Google Group Email List, Vernon PTA Facebook, Backpack Flyers Family Nights – Recess Night, Back-to-School Night, Holiday Sing-A-Long, Carnival and more PTA Clothing Center Support FACILITIES & IMPROVEMENT: School Yard Improvement, Basketball, Futsal Soccer & Volleyball Courts Garden Work Parties Library Books PE Equipment Mural and Stage Improvements in the Multipurpose Room
