MECA works to meet the basic needs of children in the Middle East who live under conditions of war and occupation and give them opportunities to learn, play and imagine a better future; and to educate North Americans through speakers and cultural programs.
About This Cause
Founded in 1988, the Middle East Children's Alliance (MECA) is a non-profit organization working for the rights and well-being of children in the Middle East. MECA works to meet the basic needs of children living under conditions of war and occupation and give them opportunities to learn, play and imagine a better future. MECA carries out this work through a combination of direct humanitarian aid; support for children's projects in Palestine; and educating North Americans through speakers and cultural programs.
