Mission Statement
The Children’s Creativity Museum is a hands-on, multimedia arts and technology experience designed to build creative confidence in children ages 2-12. We advance our mission, to nurture creativity and collaboration in all children and families, by providing opportunities for creative expression, innovation, and critical thinking.
About This Cause
The Children’s Creativity Museum goes beyond the conventional environment of play by inspiring kids to imagine, create, and share. Our programs and exhibits are designed to spark the imagination and build creative confidence. With every visit, families create unique media projects and experiences that reflect and celebrate their creativity. Museum exhibits include: Animation Studio: Tell your own story creating clay characters and using digital technology to make a stop-motion movie. Tech Lab: Learn how to write code while programming robots to make music, draw doodles, navigate mazes, and bulldoze buildings. Making Music Studio: Create your own instruments and music recordings. Express yourself through unique musical activities. Innovation Lab: Unleash your imagination to tackle the Mystery Box Challenge. Design an original invention and solve problems using surprise materials. Community Lab: Visit SketchTown, an immersive technology experience that reflects our built environment and encourages real-time creation and collaboration in the digital realm. Imagination Lab: Build, sculpt, perform, and set your imagination free. Construct landscapes to learn about natural environments in the Augmented Reality Sandbox. Inspiration Studio: Drop-in for a variety of activities and special workshops. Collaboration Studio: Located adjacent to the museum entrance, this space offers special programs and activities in collaboration with other organizations. We also offer creative prompts, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, through our Create @ Home initiative: https://creativity.org/athome/
