Mission Statement
The Friends of ECDC is a 501(c)3 organization run by parents of the children of the Emeryville Child Development Center (ECDC) in Emeryville, CA. Our mission is to enhance the experience of the children who attend ECDC by providing funds to support enrichment activities beyond what the budgetary constraints of the City of Emeryville can provide.
About This Cause
For the past 40 years, the city-run Emeryville Child Development Center has provided high-quality early childhood education to the community. The children who attend ECDC largely reside within the City of Emeryville and its surrounding areas. Funds raised by the Friends of ECDC directly benefit ECDC's children, thereby strengthening the community in which those children live. The enrichment activities provided by our organization help create a dynamic learning environment that fosters strong connections between the children, bridging diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
