Mission Statement
Founded in 1995, P.A.L. is a nonprofit community organization that provides prevention, intervention, and advocacy services to children, youth and families. Our mission is to build positive partnerships between youth, police and the community, to prevent juvenile crime, and reduce crimes against youth. Our programs are focused on education enrichment, sports, health & fitness, and leadership mentoring that afford youth the values, assets and skills to succeed.
About This Cause
PAL serves over 800 youth annually through education enrichment, leadership, and health, sports and fitness activities. Additionally, PAL partners with community groups to provide a venue for cultural dance, adapted P.E., reading intervention, adult education, and more. At PAL, 90% of our students come from economically disadvantaged families. Our programs are strengthened by a growing network of individuals and organizations that allow us to reach more underserved youth in our community. 90% of PAL youth receive scholarships this year thanks to individual, corporate, and foundation giving.
