About This Cause
Nevada Child Seekers, a registered nonprofit organization, created in 1985, and incorporated in 1996. We are the only nonprofit, missing children’s organization. Nevada Child Seekers is proactive in addressing the problem from a prevention standpoint as well as advocating on behalf of missing and Exploited children. In Nevada, there are over 8,000 children reported missing each year. These alarming statistics come from the National Crime Information Center, a law enforcement database. It further indicates that over 200 of the children are considered to be "endangered" by law enforcement and over 100 are missing involuntarily.You have the power to help us in achieving our mission to advocate for and engage in prevention, identification and location efforts on behalf of missing and exploited Children. Your support enables us to help families in the search for their missing children and to provide abduction and exploitation prevention education for children and families.In 2011, your support allowed us to provide: • 4,140 Child ID Packets • Shout Out Loud, abduction prevention education for 3,018 K-2nd grade students • NetSmartz™ Internet Safety for 6,646 students and over 545 parents and school administrators • radKids™ Personal Empowerment Program for 729 students and certified 15 instructors • Case Management and Search Assistance for over 300 missing children
