Mission Statement

CASA serves abused, abandoned, and neglected children who are dependents of the juvenile court system. These children are placed in the system through no fault of their own. They have been removed from their families due to the abuse they have suffered. CASA volunteers are appointed by the presiding juvenile court judge to speak for the best interests of the child. The one-one-one relationship that forms between the volunteer and the dependent child is often the only stable relationship the child has while in foster care.

About This Cause

Alameda County Court Appointed Special Advocates Program, (CASA) promotes and supports quality volunteer advocates to speak for the best interests of abused and neglected children in the dependency court system.
