Mission Statement
ASEP provides the community with equal access to quality after school enrichment programming. ASEP combines Arts Enrichment, Academic Support and Health & Wellness into one educational experience.
About This Cause
The After School Enrichment Program, also known as ASEP's is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. This year mark's ASEP's 20th year as an organization. ASEP was founded in 1999 by a former parent from McKinley Elementary School. ASEP has always provided a safe, healthy and nurturing environment for children as their parents go to work, school or seek employment. Comprehensive ASEP at McKinley is our all-in-one program were students are picked up, fed a healthy snack and taken care of, starting right after school until pick up at 6:00 pm. In January 2012, ASEP was invited to expand to Daniel Webster Elementary School! Now in its 7th year, the ASEP Daniel Webster Program is thriving and still growing. ASEP prides itself with the knowledge we have gained over the last 20 years. We have applied our learning, in addition to parent feedback, and now offer many more program options including Specialty Clubs and Language Programs. ASEP's Philosophy is based on diversity and equality. This is best illustrated through ASEP's unique program that treats all students and families equally, regardless of their economic backgrounds. Where some schools house two or more programs ( tuition and free) that unintentionally separate students across class lines, ASEP directly addresses this issue by intentionally bringing together disparate communities under one single program, thus allowing all students and families to benefit from high-quality services as a unified community.
