Mission Statement
Rattie Ratz is a domestic (pet) rat rescue in the San Francisco Bay Area. We rescue and adopt out pet rats. We also strive to educate people on the positive attributes of rats as companion animals and on their proper care.
About This Cause
Our mission is to improve the lives of domestic pet rats and their guardians by promoting value and respect for all animal life. Our goals are: To promote domestic pet rats as valuable companions To promote the proper care and maintenance of domestic pet rats To promote the adoption of needy animals over the purchase of mass-produced pet store animals Rattie Ratz volunteers strive to ensure the well being of all domesticated pet rats that come to us — from private intakes or shelters alike — by going above and beyond in our every day care, affection and healthcare with the animals we foster. We emphasize the importance of maintaining this care throughout the remainder of their life in a forever home by equipping all our adopters with the necessary tools to do so.
