Mission Statement
Mission: The mission of Southern Oregon Friends of Hospice is to sustain the residential hospice home, Celia’s House in Holmes Park, ensuring that dying individuals and their families are cared for with kindness and exceptional care, focusing on what matters for each individual at end of life, and to promote broader knowledge on the benefits of end-of- life palliative and hospice care throughout our community. Vision: Create a community which understands and transforms the dying process into a time of opportunity for meaningful closure, supporting each dying person, their loved ones and the dedicated caregivers who serve them.
About This Cause
Southern Oregon Friends of Hospice, with a staff of 30, operates a 12-bed residential hospice care home in Southern Oregon. We base our end-of-life and palliative care for residents on a set of values that guide all aspects of our work - believing firmly that we must make kindness the heart of everything we do. We offer excellent round-the-clock care for residents facing end of life, along with their families, enhanced through organization-wide mindfulness practices of staff and volunteers.
