The mission of Mill Valley Recreation and the Community Center is to provide the community enriching and exceptional arts, recreational and leisure opportunities. We offer a variety of community based experiences, activities, classes and events -- arts and cultural, health and wellness, fitness and recreation, education and life-long learning-- that promote social engagement, joy and healthy lifestyles for those of any age. The City of Mill Valley's Recreation Department is committed to providing the community with quality facilities, diverse and innovative programming for all ages and professional staff who are dedicated to building a better community and quality of life. We are the community’s Center for play in support of active lifestyles at any age and we are the epicenter of preventative health care as the largest community provider of recreation, fitness programming, activities and facilities (indoors and outdoors). The Center is also the largest youth employer in Southern Marin.
