Mission Statement
The Good Samaritan Auxiliary is a volunteer organization whose mission is to provide voluntary service to patients, family members, and staff of Good Samaritan and Mission Oaks hospitals in a spirit of dedication, friendliness, and professionalism.
About This Cause
We understand that hospitalization and follow-up treatment can be frightening and stressful for patients and their families. We provide patients and families with resources and stability, allowing them to focus on helping their loved one become healthy. Services include: • Clothing to ensure that those in need are discharged with dignity. • Amenities that personalize and humanize the patient experience. • Food in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Parent Room • Families struggling financially may receive vouchers for gas, meals and emergency overnight hotel stays. • Modest college scholarships to highly qualified high school student volunteers.
