Mission Statement

Run by women for women The Association for Educational Development provides financial support and management consulting services to a variety of women’s organizations and initiatives in the United States and abroad. Inspired by Christian values and the social teachings of the Catholic Church, these organizations are open to people of all races, creeds, and ethnic backgrounds, and share the core feature of helping women to discover the dignity of human work and the spiritual richness packed within it, so they can emerge as leaders in society, positively impacting culture, laws and trends.

About This Cause

OUR HISTORY The Association for Educational Development (AED) is a California non-profit corporation, formed on November 21, 1967, to promote the intellectual, moral and cultural development of women, thereby transforming society to be a common home for human flourishing. In addition to providing financial support to non-profits, AED currently owns and operates five locations in California, including a university student residence near the campus of the University of California, Los Angeles, and cultural centers near Stanford University and the University of California, Berkeley.
