About This Cause
Since 1923, United Way of Santa Barbara County has been a key leader in local efforts to empower children, families, and communities through its own unique collaborative programs and initiatives, partnership convening efforts, volunteer development, and funding. Our national award winning summer learning program, Fun in the Sun, provides 500+ low resource local children and their families support over the summer. The program includes a robust mindfulness program, STEAM activities, mentorship opportunities, environmental education, and field trips offering students and families throughout the community with an enriching summer experience.
