Mission Statement
John Tracy Center's (JTC's) mission is to provide parent-centered services to children with hearing loss, offering hope, guidance, and encouragement.
About This Cause
John Tracy Center (JTC) is the leading diagnostic and education center for children with hearing loss. JTC is one of the largest private non-profit provider of parent-centered services and a recognized leader in early childhood deaf education. JTC's audiology, education and support services have garnered international attention and praise. JTC was founded in 1943 in Los Angeles, CA, by Louise and Spencer Tracy, whose son, John, was born deaf. JTC was one of the nation’s first spoken-language education and support programs for parents of deaf children. Over the years, JTC has led the way in providing effective pediatric hearing testing, international education, graduate teacher training programs, preschool education, parent-infant and support programs, as well as pediatric community hearing screening services.
