Mission Statement
Founded in 1938, The Blind Children's Center is a family-focused organization which serves children birth through second grade, who are blind or visually impaired and their families in an inclusive setting.
About This Cause
As a model program, the Center provides individualized services that are embedded into the daily routine with strategies delivered by a multi-disciplinary team using a coaching model. Utilizing its experience and expertise, the Center impacts the lives and careers of families and professionals worldwide through support services, training, publications and research grants. A nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, the Center receives no state or federal funding and is not a United Way agency. With no cost to families, the Center is funded by private donations from the community.
