Mission Statement
Pasadena Christian School is an independent, inter-denominational school serving children from preschool through eighth grade.
About This Cause
Pasadena Christian School (PCS) is an independent, inter-denominational school serving children from preschool through eighth grade. PCS is a close-knit community of accredited teachers, administrators, and volunteers that engage students and parents in the daily promotion of academic excellence, personal growth and Christian values. Students thrive in this loving and enriching environment. The preschool, licensed to serve 100 children ages two to five, offers state of the art classrooms and play areas with the progressive philosophy of learning through play. Respective of every child’s own pace of development, the caring teachers and staff prepare each child for the world that awaits them. As a result of the successful program, the PCS Preschool is a sought after learning environment for colleges and a model for the future. The TK through 8th grade program offers a rigorous core curriculum that is augmented by full-time specialty instructors in science, music, art, computer science, physical education, speech and drama. As a result, students enjoy a well-rounded program and regularly score well beyond grade level on standardized tests. With solid academics and character development, PCS graduates are accepted to, and excel in, the most competitive private high school programs in the region. Students at PCS reflect the broad ethnic, economic, and denominational diversity of the local community. Need-based tuition assistance is available and administered through an impartial third party company. Big Yellow House, the extended day program at PCS, provides an affordable and safe, before and after school program with opportunities for students to extend their learning and play.
