Mission Statement
The mission of Unlimited Possibilities (UP), formerly United Cerebral Palsy of Orange County (UCP-OC), is to help children and families with disabilities create limitless futures.
About This Cause
Founded in 1953 to serve children and adults with cerebral palsy, we have since broadened our scope to focus on treating children, their families, and a wider range of disabilities, including cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, speech and language disorders, vision impairment, epilepsy, and brain trauma. Today, UP treats over 160 developmental disabilities and delays. While still affiliated with the national United Cerebral Palsy organization, we changed our name to Unlimited Possibilities in March 2022 to reflect our commitment to serving a wide range of diagnoses. Our mission’s focus on serving both children with disabilities and their families in both the short-term and long-term guides all of our actions and decisions. Our core services include 1) early intervention, 2) pediatric therapy, 3) respite care, 4) inclusive childcare, 5) recreation services, and 6) family support services. Our clinical services—early intervention and pediatric therapy—help children avoid or overcome developmental setbacks to set them up for both short-term gains and long-term success. Our community-based services—respite care, inclusive childcare, recreation services, and family support services—provide support to families because our calling is to support families on their journey as they navigate the joys and challenges of caring for a child with a disability. Overall, UP provided clinical, childcare, and supportive services to 3,544 children and families last year. Our vision is to become the cornerstone of the disability community in Orange County.
