MIRMAN SCHOOL FOR GIFTED CHILDREN

LOS ANGELES, California, 90049-1125 United States

Mission Statement

Mirman School is passionately committed to the education of highly gifted children. We are dedicated to: academic excellence; the social, emotional, and physical development of the student; academic programs that offer depth, complexity, and differentiation tailored to each student's needs and abilities; and developing creatively productive and ethical world citizens.

About This Cause

Our school was founded in 1962 by Dr. Norman Mirman and his wife Beverly Mirman as an elementary school for highly gifted children. With a handful of eager young students the Mirmans began the school in their own home. Years later, their vision lives on at our beautiful campus here on Mulholland Drive. From the moment you step onto campus, you will experience our dedication to developing sophisticated, kind, and compassionate learners. Our highly experienced faculty are committed to their craft and share an authentic love for teaching and for children. Mirman's dedication to excellence through both challenging and fully engaging students has created a community where mission and practice converge. At a time when innovation and contemporary methodologies are increasingly essential to prepare students for a global marketplace, Mirman remains unwavering in its commitment to children's intellectual, artistic, and kinethestic development. Our graduates go on to creatively embrace the challenges of high school and college at the highest levels and, more importantly, grow to become thoughtful, caring, and contributing citizens of the world.
