Mission Statement
As its mission, the Southern California Counseling Center works to change lives and strengthen communities by providing affordable mental health care to people in need. We believe that mental health care is a right, not a privilege; our volunteers, Board and staff are committed to ensuring that mental health counseling and psychiatric services remain accessible and affordable for those with limited income. We strive to create a welcoming, respectful environment for those who have been marginalized and feel disenfranchised in their lives and the broader community. Finally, to make our work possible, we offer our volunteer counselors exceptional training and support which prepares them to work with a diverse range of clients as they develop their skills and become well-regarded mental health professionals.
