Mission Statement
Senior Concerns’ mission is to provide programs and services that support and improve the health, well-being, and quality of life for seniors and family caregivers. For fifty years, Senior Concerns has been a trusted resource and advocate for aging adults and their loved ones. We recognize that aging affects not only the individual but the entire family unit. By supporting both seniors and their caregivers, we help improve emotional, physical, and mental health outcomes across generations. Our work is rooted in the belief that every senior deserves to age with dignity, purpose, and as much independence as possible.
About This Cause
Since 1975, Senior Concerns has empowered Conejo Valley seniors and supported family caregivers through a diverse range of innovative services. Our mission is to enhance the health, well-being, and quality of life for both seniors and their family caregivers. Over the past fifty years, Senior Concerns has evolved to meet the ever-changing needs of our senior population. We’ve increased the number of seniors and family caregivers we serve, which is over 13,000 annually, and expanded the range of vital services we offer. Our core programs include the Meals On Wheels/Home Delivered Meal program, addressing food insecurity; the Adult Day Program for seniors with cognitive or physical impairments; our Caregiver Support Center; Senior Advocacy Services; In-Home Geriatric Assessments; and Pro Bono Legal and Financial Services. We also provide neuropsychologist-led Memory Screenings, run a Home Repair and Maintenance Program in partnership with the Rotary Home Team, and provide educational seminars and workshops free for the community. As the senior community continues to grow, our organization remains dedicated to ensuring that every individual has access to convenient, affordable, and high-quality care that supports aging in place with dignity and confidence.
