About This Cause

In response to the growing need to prepare our people in underserved communities for 21st careers, our goal is to give them skills necessary to compete in college and the new emerging technologies. Also we want to expose our communities to people that may mentor them in these new emerging tech careers. In the past we have had over 450 students come through our program in the last 4 years. We now would like to create the entire student life span to encourage our students in STEM Careers. With us already working with elementary, jr high, and high school students we now have the next major life cycle young adults and adults. The design of this program and relationship will be to offer support for tech field trip experiences to events like AT&T Revolt, Microsoft Professional Development series at their tech lab, scientific calculators for our student to use for math and science classes, scholarships for students to attend regional tech conferences from National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) and Math Engineering Science Achievement Program (MESA), provide resources for students to participate in AT&T’s Believe In Los Angeles Events, support tech related club events on campus with resources.
