Mission Statement

1736 Family Crisis Center's mission is to comprehensively help children, women, men, and families through crisis circumstances, including domestic violence, homelessness, poverty, and post-traumatic stress disorder, improving their prospects for long-term housing, financial stability, and success.

About This Cause

1736 Family Crisis Center provides emergency, critical care, and rehabilitative services for extremely vulnerable and often injured clientele – women, children, youth, families, Veterans – who are facing or fleeing from life-threatening circumstances, including domestic violence, child abuse, sex trafficking, homelessness, and suicidal thinking. Through a network of 30 residential and community-based service sites spanning Los Angeles and Orange counties, the agency offers comprehensive, trauma-informed care to special needs populations free of charge. Several sites are licensed by the state to provide specialty, rehabilitative care, including a residential group home for homeless and runaway minors. Each year, our agency serves approximately 6,000 clients directly and reaches 20,000 additional community members through community outreach and prevention education in high schools, service clubs, and similar settings.
