Mission Statement
Through fundraising and volunteer efforts, WAVE provides the resources that our teachers and students need to facilitate a high quality academic experience. Warner Avenue School is consistently earning high State Testing Scores and ranking among the top primary schools in the state and local area. These achievements are due in large part to our families’ generous and necessary financial support of the Annual Fund as well as the excellent teachers and staff at Warner Avenue School. The Annual Fund bridges the gap between the basic, minimum funding provided by LAUSD and the essential 21st century resources, services, and equipment necessary to promote the highly successful learning environment at Warner Avenue School. Simply put, public funding alone does not provide for enrichment programs, nor does it guarantee academic excellence for our children. WAVE, not LAUSD, pays for our school’s enrichment programs and enhancements. That’s why our school needs the Annual Fund, and that’s why your donation, in any amount, is critical.
