Mission Statement
Penuel Missionary Baptist Church has served Los Angeles for 65 years under the bylaws and constitution of the church, believing in God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Comforter, the Holy Spirit. We care about people, the Bible, Christian Education, and fellowship and provide support to the LA Mission and to our members when sick, unemployed, in need, or in college. Feeding sick and shut-in and the homeless. We pray for one another individually and for the church.
About This Cause
For more than twenty years the Penuel church has hosted a food giveaway on 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month. We distribute fresh food and commodities donated by USDA and local grocers to residents of the local community. Penuel also runs a food pantry available daily and provides a community center for the public to use for private events and self-help programs such as Alcoholics Anonymous. Penuel hosted a Wellness Fair in May for Mental Health Awareness Month and will continue the tradition in 2025 and forward. An annual toy drive is held for children in December, and a backpack distribution is held in August prior to school starting.
