About This Cause
L.A. Chinatown Firecracker Run Committee, Inc. (LACFRC) are a non-salaried group of volunteers who donate their time and energy to organize and stage events and programs; promoting health, fitness, and cultural awareness to the greater Los Angeles community. All proceeds are reinvested in the community, in support of elementary schools and non-profit organizations, providing service and programs that benefit local neighborhoods. We have donated nearly $1,000,000 since our inception. We are best known for our annual events; Firecracker 5/10K Run, Walk - Kiddie Run - 20/40 Mile Bike Ride & PAW'er Walk. The 5/10K Runs are the oldest and largest runs celebrating the Lunar New Years in the United States.
