HEALTHCARE FOR HOMELESS ANIMALS

Mission Statement

To fund medical care and promote adoptions for the homeless (shelter) animals at the Agoura Animal Care Center. Healthcare for Homeless Animals (HHA) is a community-based, 501(c)3 non-profit organization run by volunteers who receive no compensation. The organization is dedicated to funding vital care and compassionate support to at-risk animals (sick, injured, and unweaned) at the Agoura Animal Care Center. Our mission is to ensure that every animal in the center has access to necessary medical treatment, rehabilitation, supportive care, and the chance to find a loving forever home. We advocate for animal welfare, good health, and second chances.

About This Cause

Healthcare for Homeless Animals (HHA) has been saving animal lives since 1996. Every day animals enter the Agoura Animal Care Center with medical needs, some long-term, others quick fixes. Whatever the need, whatever the animal, Healthcare for Homeless Animals is there to support the medical care necessary to bring homeless animals housed at the Care Center to good health and adoption into a loving home, thus decreasing euthanasia and increasing adoptions. In addition, we have increased help to other high-intake, high-kill care centers under the LA County Department of Animal Care and Control by transferring animals into the Agoura Animal Care Center to fund medically needy animals, including senior animals or those in need of surgeries, thereby reducing euthanasia numbers for animals that would be certainly euthanized at these other care centers without HHA funding.
