THE VILLAGE FAMILY SERVICES INC

North Hollywood, California, 91606-1576 United States

Mission Statement

Our mission is to protect children from abuse, preserve families, and build a stronger, safer community.

About This Cause

The Village was established to meet an urgent need. In 1997, its co-founders, Hugo C. Villa, LMFT, and Irma Seilicovich, LMFT, recognized the lack of critical bilingual, bicultural social services for Latino children and families, particularly in the San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles County. Today, The Village is a leader in the field, serving over 4,000 youth and families annually. We offer a lifeline to young people facing homelessness, trauma, or separation from their families, meeting them where they are with the support they need to heal, grow, and thrive. Here’s how we help: Foster Care & Adoption Comprehensive bilingual services, including foster placements, adoption services, and specialized support for high-needs youth. Ending Youth Homelessness Drop-In Center in North Hollywood, transitional housing facility, and leadership of SPA 2’s Youth Coordinated Entry System. Mental Health Services Outpatient counseling and intensive Wraparound support for children, youth, and families. Refugee and Immigrant Youth Services Transitional foster care for unaccompanied minors through our partnership with the Office of Refugee Resettlement. The Village is accredited by the International Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for its Adoptions, Foster Care, Mental Health, Wraparound, and Drop-In Center services.
